surf

got more clips for the video today.  Grant surfed his bike and jumped some big speed bumps over at the local park.  I stood up and surfed my bike for the first time today after filming him.  It wasnt as good looking as he makes it look, but nonetheless I was siked.  Grant has been barging life hard lately, gets me hyped.  here's to you homie.

almostttt

Went to Haspin Acres with the intent of bringing back good memories and good photos, but instead all we are coming back with is a dislocated knee.  Katy took a spill on the trails about 40 minutes after we got there and dislocated her knee so we ended up packing up and heading to the emergency room.  She was a trooper though, never complaining and actually encouraging us to keep riding.  Positives from all this though, maybe it will get jeff to rest his torn ACL a little more, maybe this will inspire them to get katy a bigger bike that will make it up the hills, and lastly I got to take my jeep back on the trails to pick her up.  I have been wanting to take my jeep back in those trails since i got it...so that was cool.  Get well soon Katy.

quarry

Cliff Jumping in southern Indiana with Pat and Aaron.  Ride was great, weather was perfect, and good times were had.  A few hiccups along the way include Aaron's running out of gas, Pats running into my bike (GET A FRONT BRAKE DOG!) haha, Pats near death experience with a kind fellow in a volvo, and walking trails for over an hour trying to find the quarry via aaron's memory and shitty iphone maps.  Highlights of the day: Filming pat running into my bike, Pat not dying, finding the quarry, Aaron being the man of the year and jumping the 65 footer, and being introduced to mother bears pizza.
Great day.
Great friends.

*But fuck the Heat for ruining the night and winning the NBA finals*

St. Louis, Missouri

Rode out to Missouri with Michael and Grant on Friday.  It was a spur of the moment trip, which always makes things a little more fun.  Grant texted me late Thursday night about riding out to St. Louis the next day to skate and hang out with Mike Block.  I had only been around Mike a couple of times before the trip, and I don't know if we had ever even had an actual conversation before I showed up on his doorstep at 1 in the morning after a 250 mile ride out there.  Well, after the trip out there, I can say that Mike is one of the best guys out.  Incredibly nice the entire time.  Always hooking up the awesome meals and always down for a good time.  Thanks so much for everything Mike and Rose!  The trip went really well.  The only hiccup on the entire trip happened about a half of a mile away from arriving at Mike's house on Friday night.  Michael found himself in a sketchy situation rolling backwards down a steep hill with only a rear brake and with his gal on the back.  The bike went down, but he handled it to where him and Christiana didn't hit the ground too hard.  A new pair of risers and a little more oil in the tank and  everything is as good as new.  Looking forward to a lot more trips over the course of this summer.  HERE'S TO THE GOOD HOMIES!

stills

I've been working on a video of everyone riding their bikes and wrenching on them.  It's coming along, but it will be a while before I can pile up enough footage to finish it.  In the mean time, here are some screenshots from the video thus far.

out and in

Sold my first harley that I bought two years ago when I was 18.   It went to a good dude and fellow skateboarder from St. Louis.  By happen stance, I was out of a bike for all of an hour before I caught up with a guy selling a 2007 sportster roadster.  I have been welcomed to the world of fuel-injection, rubbermounted motors, and above-average speed & handling.  Its nice here.  This whole mechanical engineering degree must be really getting to my head.
